An accounting and tax firm is seeking a full time Bookkeeper/ administrator to join our accounting team located in Parramatta. As part of a family business you will be expected to be honest, punctual, friendly and enthusiastic. You must be able to work with our team or unsupervised, maintain procedures in your area of work, be versatile and have excellent communication skills

With the entire business managed using a computerised automotive management program, IT skill and experience with various software is essential. Immaculate personal presentation and confident communication skills are essential, with excellent customer service required of all staff

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to

• General accounting, Accounts Payable & Receivable
• BAS preparation, PAYG, Payroll and liaising with senior accountants
• Preparation of financial reports for management
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy in all departmental accounting
• General office duties assisting all staff, including shared customer welcoming by phone and in store.
• Use of Windows/ Microsoft software to assist in promoting and communicating
• Experience with CRM desirable
• Flexibility with job role in a small team

Senior Bookkeeper

We currently have a great opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join a fast-growing accounting firm on a permanent basis. This opportunity offers the benefit of being conveniently located in Parramatta, NSW within close proximity to public transport

The successful applicant would ideally have previous experience in a similar bookkeeping environment, especially having experience with Xero/QuickBooks, bank reconciliations and assisting BAS lodgement. Strong and confident interpersonal and communication skills are also required when dealing with internal managers and bookkeeping clients. You will also have the ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks to ensure you meet the required deadlines. Previous experience using Xero/QuickBooks is essential

Description

• Bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Responsible for the Bookkeeping services of up to 50 clients
• Tax lodgement and discussing potential changes to client’s business structure
• Additional ad-hoc functions as required by the business
• Processing income tax return data entry
• Preparation and review of BAS and IAS
• Using a range of software – MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper
• Experience in Xero and QuickBooks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Studies in bookkeeping would be highly regarded however not essential
• High attention to detail
• A people person can build rapport with clients
